Bureau of Justice Statistics (U.S. Department of Justice)
BJS collects, analyzes, and publishes information and statistics on crime, criminal
offenders, victims of crime, homicide trends, etc. It also includes links to state and federal law
enforcement information. The
Key Facts at a Glance section leads you to charts on trends in criminal
statistics. The

Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance
The
Catalog provides comprehensive access to information on programs and projects administered
by Federal departments and agencies, along with details on funding levels. The home page provides
information on how to use the catalog, brief descriptions of Federal agencies and pointers for

Catalog itself allows you to search by many different criteria including name of agency,

At this website you can locate information on different diseases and health topics. It also
points you to information on international travel health concerns, which includes topics such as

Environmental Protection Agency
This site provides a place to browse and obtain detailed information on current environmental
topics. As you move through this site you can search for profiles that contains graphs and brief
descriptions that summarize existing information on air quality, drinking water systems, surface
water quality, hazardous waste, and reported toxic releases. Profiles are available for every state

Federal Register is the official daily publication for Rules, Proposed Rules, and Notices
of federal agencies and organizations, as well as Executive Orders and other Presidential
documents. This site provides access to the

FEDSTATS provides access to the full range of statistics produced and reviewed by more than
70 agencies in the United States Federal Government. The information available through this site
includes a variety of subjects such as demographics, crime, education, health, etc. You can also

Statistical Abstract of the United States. This site can be searched by keywords.

THOMAS allows you to search for the text of legislation, as well as the status of bills being
considered in Congress. You can also track which representative has sponsored a particular bill.

The National Conference of State Legislatures is a bipartisan organization dedicated to
serving the lawmakers and staffs of the nation's 50 states, its commonwealths and territories. The
